On a sun-kissed day at Porthpean Beach, we gathered to celebrate our inaugural Sharing the Ocean day. The event was filled with laughter, sea dips, delicious cake, and plenty of sunshine.

Porthpean Beach, nestled on the south coast of Cornwall, is a picturesque spot known for its golden sands and clear, calm waters. Surrounded by lush greenery and dramatic cliffs, its serene ambiance and natural beauty made it the ideal location for our event.

We enjoyed the refreshing embrace of the sea, fostering a deep connection with nature and each other. Guided by the inspiring Sarah Walsh from Cornish Kelpie, the day was not only fun but also educational, emphasising the importance of ocean safety and environmental consciousness.

After the refreshing sea dips, we gathered to enjoy a variety of delicious treats by Rustic Cakes Cornwall, alongside the refreshing VitaminSea drink packed with Cornish seaberries and sunshine.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the time spent in the sea. Sarah led us in various water activities, making sure everyone felt safe and enjoyed the ocean to the fullest. Her guidance was invaluable, and her passion for the sea was infectious. We laughed, splashed, and experienced the pure joy that comes from being in the water.

Throughout the day, we also took moments to appreciate the beauty of Porthpean Beach and the importance of preserving our ocean environment. The sun shone brightly, creating a perfect backdrop for our celebrations and reminding us of the natural wonders we are so fortunate to enjoy.

We look forward to next year's Sharing the Ocean day, eager to continue this tradition of celebrating and protecting our cherished coastal spaces. Until then, let's carry the spirit of this day with us, cherishing our memories and nurturing our bond with the ocean.
