What top tips would you give to anyone thinking of joining in?

Warm up, have the right kit for the water temp (as we are in for 45 mins from March to December), have layers for afterwards, bring a flask and cake!

Which is your favourite Cornish beach and why?

Gwithian, because I spent my teenage years there camping out in the evening and wave jumping in the day. Every beach makes me smile and feels like home.

When you're not teaching, what is your favourite way to get your water fix?

I get my water fix by doing Longe Cote most of the year on the south coast and body boarding, swimming and wave jumping on the north coast. Cornwall is the best; we have both options for calm water and wild water.
